How Much CBD Oil Should I Use?
For each recipe, you will add pet CBD oil, around 2 mg per treat. The recipes below specify a certain amount of pet oil.
For those that don’t, make the recipe without the oil. Once you know how many treats you get from those recipes, aim to adjust the dosage, so each treat has 2 mg of CBD oil.
There isn’t a risk for overdosing. Starting with a high amount won’t have negative effects.

Banana and Peanut Butter Cookie
You’ll need these ingredients to make 20 cookies:
- ¼ cup of peanut butter
- 1 mashed banana
- 2 cups of oats
- Coconut oil
- 40 mg of pet CBD oil
Preheat your oven to 325 degrees. Mix your CBD with a tablespoon of coconut oil. Place your oats in a blender and blend them until they are like flour.
In a medium bowl, mix the banana, peanut butter, and oils. Add the oats and knead together until you have a moist dough.
Dust your countertop surface with flour. Shape the dough into a circle and keep it ¼ inch thick. You can use any cookie cutter to cut out the treats.
Place the cookies on a non-stick cookie tray. Bake the cookies for 30 minutes, until they are golden. Keep them in the fridge.
Berry Dog Treats
You’ll need these ingredients to make around 10 treats:
- 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
- 20 mg of pet CBD oil
- ¾ cups of mashed raspberries or blueberries
- 3 tablespoons of ground flax seed
- ¼ cup of coconut flour
- Shredded coconut
Mash the berries and then stir in the coconut and CBD oil. Start adding the flour in a gradual manner along with the ground flaxseed.
If you want a stickier dough, add more water or flour. Press the dough into small balls and roll them in the coconut. Make sure you refrigerate these treats. Freeze them to make them last longer.

Use a tablespoon or scooper to shape the treats. The number of biscuits you bake will depend on the size of the scooper you use. Place the biscuits in the oven for 30 minutes before taking them out and letting them cool.
Make sure you place these in the fridge so they last longer.

Quick Coconut Treats
Set aside:
- ⅓ cup of coconut oil

Turmeric and Pumpkin Snacks

- 3 tablespoons of honey
- 2 cups of rolled oats
- 2 cups of pumpkin purée
- 3 teaspoons of turmeric
- 3 tablespoons of coconut oil

Make sure that the pumpkin purée you use doesn’t have added sweeteners or preservatives. Avoid xylitol, a sweetener that’s toxic to dogs.
Mix the honey, turmeric, coconut oil, and pumpkin in a bowl. Add in the rolled oats and more if you want a cookie dough consistency.
Place a piece of parchment paper on a baking sheet or tray. Roll the dough into balls. You can use an ice cream scooper. Aim for 14 identical balls. Now you can add the CBD oil. If you give your dog one drop of CBD oil a day, add one drop to each treat.
Place the treats in your fridge and let them harden for 15 minutes. You can keep them refrigerated for two weeks. Try making these treats once a week.
